It’s Friday! No, we aren’t going to break out in song with Rebecca Black about it being ‘Friday, Friday, Every day is Friday!’ We do love Friday, though. Who doesn’t? For most people, it’s the end of the week. The night you’ve waited for to relax with friends or family. Whether your plans are to go out for the evening or stay home and relax at home, we wanted to share one of our favorite recipes from a favorite blogger of ours. Here’s to Friday!

Okay, we say this every week. BUT, the Cinnamon Roll Martini is really, truly the favorite drink of the Martini Maidens. I had no idea, however, that people had so many opinions on what makes a good cinnamon roll. Some people like theirs simple and sweet – yeast dough, with a cinnamon-sugar mixture on top of butter. You know, Paula Deen-style! Others throw in raisins, chopped grapes, maybe pour a cup or two of confectioner’s sugar for icing (nah, I’m not exaggerating!), or some type of glaze. Wikipedia says it is not to be confused with the Danish pastry or the Honey Bun. Ok by me, I just know I love a yummy, slightly undercooked cinnamon roll every once in a while when I’m feeling reckless with abandon about my calorie counting.

Why the elaborate discussion about the varieties of cinnamon rolls? When we post a recipe that we name as a Martini Maiden recipe, we have created it ourselves. There might be several other varieties out there. Yea for variety! This is ours, and we hope you love it as much as we do.

So here we go with instructions. . .

Mix together:

2 oz DeKuyper Buttershots

2 oz Bailey’s Original Irish Cream

1 oz DeKuyper Hot Damn Cinnamon Schnapps

1 oz Smirnoff Premium Triple Distilled Vodka

Shake together gently and serve in a chilled Martini glass.

Garnish with cinnamon square candy. If this is not one of the smoothest drinks you have this week, we have an offer for you – let us know what you have found that is! We love hearing from you. As a plug, you can always find us on Twitter or our new Facebook page also. Enjoy!

Be Mine Forever Cocktail

The Sexi Phone Voice

We have been busy, busy, busy making changes to our site. If you have visited in the past and feel a little lost, feel free to ask us where your favorite things are.  One thing we are adding is others’ cocktail recipes to try. We promise this is in addition to what we are already doing – creating our own Martini Maiden recipes, writing about events near you, great restaurants to try, and of course. . . tweeting to keep you updated on everything.  These are still found on the right-hand side of our site – I get directionally challenged. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!

Today’s drink we want to show you is named the ‘Be Mine Forever’ cocktail. Get out your shaker for this one. This is a win, win, win, win blog for you because there are actually four recipes included in this post. We just felt like trying something healthy. Hope you enjoy this or one of the other three posted in the suggested recipe we have linked for you.

Be Mine Forever Cocktail . . . or at least for tonight

We appreciate your patience as we have grown so much more rapidly than we imagined in such a short time! We are literally busting at the seams with this site, and want each visit you have here to be an exceptional experience. Bear with us as we work on some makeovers over the course of the next days and weeks.

If you have questions about where some of your favorite things are now located – or have suggestions on where you would like some things located – let us know. We LOVE feedback!

We are going to make it easier for you to find the Martini recipes we have created, as well as other Martini articles we have written, so you are not hunting through the entire blog to find them.

Thank you again, and in the meantime. . . take time to enjoy a nice martini!
